Dropped Out From Previous Week:

Nebraska, Wisconsin

The Alabama and Texas A&M game was so much fun to watch. More importantly, it lived up to and surpassed the hype.  Alabama starting QB A.J. McCarron was outstanding and really rose to the occasion with 334 yards and four touchdowns on 20/29 passing…oh and zero sacks and turnovers.  Johnny Manziel was 28/39 for 464 yards, 5 touchdowns, 2 interceptions and had 98 yards rushing. One of Manziel’s interceptions was returned 73 yards for a TD and was the difference in the game. Going forward, what is the fall out from this game?  Both quarterbacks are still Heisman candidates, T.J. Yeldon (149 rushing yards and a TD) is there with them. Texas A&M is not out of the national championship picture. There is a slim chance that we could see act 3 of these two teams in January.  It may seem that this notion is far fetched, but let me ask, did you see a final score of 49-42 coming? The Aggies and Crimson Tide put on a show that left viewers wanting more. This game was the highest rated afternoon football game for CBS in 23 years and if given the chance, the BCS would like to cash in on it too. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Game To Watch This Week

#18 Arizona State at #4 Stanford

This weekend is relatively weak when it comes to big games, but this Pac-12 game (7:00 pm on Fox) should be fun to watch.
